Hauldex LLC ("Hauldex," "we," "us," or "our") operates a fleet and load management platform for small trucking carriers and owner-operators. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information in connection with our platform and services.
By using Hauldex, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
We collect information necessary to operate our load management platform:
We use collected information to:
We do not sell your data. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or business data to third parties for marketing or any other purpose.
Hauldex sends transactional, load-status SMS notifications to two groups:
Consent is recipient-initiated: Hauldex sends no load-status message to any number unless and until that number replies YES to the one-time opt-in request. Hauldex records a dated consent record for every number.
Drivers operate through the Hauldex mobile app and do not receive load-status SMS. Full details of the program are at our SMS program page.
Notifications are transactional only — we do not send marketing messages. Brokers receive up to two texts per load (pickup and delivery); dispatcher frequency varies with load activity.
Reply STOP to any Hauldex SMS message to unsubscribe from notifications. Reply HELP for assistance, or START to opt back in. Opt-outs are honored across all carriers and future loads. Message and data rates may apply.
No mobile information or opt-in consent will be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers are used solely to deliver the transactional load-status notifications described above.
We share information only as necessary to operate the platform:
All third-party service providers are bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.
We retain data according to the following schedule:
You may request export or deletion of your data by contacting us at the address below. (SMS opt-out records are retained as noted above so we can continue to honor your opt-out.)
Your subscription ends at the close of your current billing period. After that:
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (TLS), role-based access controls, and secure file storage. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use strong passwords and protect your account credentials.
The Hauldex driver mobile application collects GPS location data — including latitude, longitude, accuracy, speed, and heading — from driver devices during active load assignments. Location data is collected in the background (when the app is not open) to enable automatic load status updates without requiring the driver to interact with the app while operating a commercial vehicle.
Location data is used solely for geofence-based status transitions and is visible to the carrier's dispatcher through the Hauldex Dispatcher App. Location data is not shared with third parties outside of platform operations and is not used for advertising. Location data is retained for 18 months following load completion and then permanently deleted per the schedule in Section 5. Drivers can revoke location permission at any time in device Settings. Revoking permission disables automatic status tracking for active loads.
To understand how visitors find Hauldex and which of our campaigns are working, we use first-party analytics on our own website. This is measurement, not advertising — we do not sell this data, and we do not use it to target you with ads on other sites.
We assign each visitor to our website a first-party identifier — set on our own domain, not by a third-party ad network — so we can tell returning visits apart from new ones and measure how our site performs. When you follow a link to Hauldex, we also log the campaign and referral parameters carried in that link (for example utm_source, utm_campaign, or a referral/campaign code) to understand how you found us.
This identifier is anonymous — it is not tied to your name or email — until and unless you create a Hauldex account. If you do sign up, we may associate that pre-signup browsing and campaign history with your new account, so we know which campaign or referral brought you to us.
When you visit our website, our servers log your device's IP address, the pages you view, the times, and — if you use our website chat — your chat messages. We use this to tell repeat visits apart, understand the general regions our visitors come from (we derive only an approximate city or country from the IP — not your precise location), protect the site against abuse, and to measure, analyze, and improve our products, services, and marketing, including through aggregated and de-identified analytics. Like the visitor identifier above, this record is anonymous — not tied to your name or email — unless and until you create a Hauldex account, at which point we may associate it with your account. We retain this information to support these purposes; on request we will delete or de-identify the data associated with you. We do not sell data that identifies you; any market or aggregate insights we produce are population-level and de-identified.
Campaign and referral links, and any promo or beta code you use when signing up, may be used to attribute your new account to the marketing source, campaign, or partner it came from. This tells us which of our efforts and partners send us customers; it does not change your account beyond any benefit the code itself provides.
When you call our support line, we may look up your account using the phone number you are calling from, so we can find your records faster. If that number is not already on your account, we will only save it after you verify an email address already on file for that account. Once you verify, we may store that phone number on your account so we recognize you on future calls. We use it only to identify you for support — not for marketing.
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data including the right to access, correct, or delete your information. To exercise these rights, contact us at admin@hauldex.com.
Hauldex is a business platform intended for adults operating commercial motor carrier businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18 years of age.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify account holders of material changes via email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. The current version is always available at hauldex.com/privacy.
